The Black Panther universeextends far beyond T'Challa with a rich Wakandan ecosystem. Must-sees include the first appearances of Shuri (Black Panther #2 vol. 4, 2005), Killmonger (Jungle Action #6, 1973) and Okoye (Black Panther #1 vol. 3, 1998). The seriesWorld of Wakanda(2016) andShuri(2018) are a wonderful addition to any Wakanda-centric collection.
Wakanda has become one of Marvel's most complete universes, driven by cinematic success and the writing of Ta-Nehisi Coates. Collecting the Black Panther universe means investing in a pantheon of secondary characters whose popularity has continued to increase since 2016. Shuri, Killmonger, the Dora Milaje and the Wakandan antagonists form a coherent and sought-after ensemble.
