The universe of Carnage: Venom, Spider-Man, Shriek

This entourage has a characteristic that no other file in this corpus presents: it is inherited. The character has not constructed anything — he occupies the place of another.

Venom: the founding addiction

The character exists by derivation. Its design immediately poses it as a more extreme variant of an already established adversary.

This corpus indicates that this lineage has never been overcome. Thirty years later, it remains defined in relation to Venom, and the comparison is systematic.
