The Old Man Logan universe: Hawkeye, the Banners, the original Wolverine

This entourage has a particularity: it is almost entirely dead. The original story takes place after a catastrophe, and the characters who populate it are the rare survivors of a collapsed world.

For a collector, this means that this file contains almost no indirect keys — an exceptional situation.

The original Wolverine: an expensive addiction

This is the determining relationship of the file, and it is not a relationship between two characters: it is a relationship between a version and its model.

This corpus indicates what this situation produces on the market, because it is regularly misunderstood.

An alternative version doesn't catch request for the original. It creates a distinct one, narrower, and made up of different people. Collectors of the original figure rarely consider the variant as part of their portfolio.

Direct consequence: despite real popularity, this file remains significantly less expensive than the one from which it derives. This is not a lack of attention — it is the normal functioning of alternative versions.

Hawkeye: the traveling companion

In the founding story, he is the one who sets the character in motion. Without him, there would be no story — only a man who gave up.

His presence gives the story its form: a journey for two, through a ruined territory, with a destination and a deadline.

⚠️ On the collection side, the numbers concerned belong to Old Man Logan's file, not his: it is an alternative version of the character, in a future which did not happen.

The central threat of the original story, and one of the elements that earned it its reputation.

The device is effective because it is simple: in a world where the heroes have disappeared, what remains occupies the field without opposition.

These characters do not have their own file and appear almost nowhere else. Their numbers are therefore, purely and simply, those of Old Man Logan.

An entourage without indirect keys

Here is the most useful feature of this file, and it works in the collector's favor.

On most characters, a significant part of the expenditure goes into numbers that do not belong to them: first appearances of allies, keys of adversaries, numbers enhanced by neighboring requests.

Nothing like that here. The founding story takes place in an isolated future, populated by figures who only exist there. It therefore does not produce no recoverable first appearance by another file.

This corpus draws a general observation:a closed story does not contaminate and is not contaminated. Its value is entirely determined by its own subject, which is a rare and comfortable situation.

The downside exists: this autonomy also deprives the case of external support which protects other characters in the event of disaffection.

After 2015: a borrowed entourage

Once the character is imported into the main continuity, he inherits an entourage that is not his own: the characters of the present, with whom he maintains a special relationship since he saw them die.

This is the best material from the 2016-2019 series, and it produces scenes that no other record can.

None of these numbers constitute a key. They are recent, abundant, and collectible at the price of all comers.

What this environment changes when purchasing

The file is independent. You won't have to buy numbers of other characters to build it, which is exceptional.

The expense is concentrated on a single line. Everything else belongs to recent periods.

There is no indirect key to look for. On this issue, knowledge provides no advantage — everything is visible.
